FULL CONVENTION
The Federation of Rose Societies of South Africa invites rose lovers the world over to attend the 16th World Rose Convention from October 11 to 18, 2012
The Convention includes

Rose arrangements
Rose botanical paintings
Quilting, cake icing & other craftwork with a rose theme
Flower arranging demonstration
Rose themed musical concert
Rose photographic competition
Local sight seeing tours
Meet and greet
Opening ceremony
Farewell dinner and entertainment
Garden visits will delight convention delegates and provide unique opportunities for the keen photographer. Networking with fellow rose lovers has always been a special feature of these gatherings and we have no doubt that this will again be a highlight for many who have attended previous conventions.
Unique and exciting pre- and post convention tours have been planned to view game, visit private and public rose gardens in Gauteng, the Free State and Western Cape. These activities include a visit to the beautiful winelands of Stellenbosch.

A spectacular display of rose arrangements depicting the 16 countries where world conventions have previously been held, designed and executed by the Gauteng Flora Union as well as a specialist exhibition by top florists from this region.
Wonderful craft market and rose-related exhibitions on display – photographs, quilts, cake icing and more
Saturday 13 October in the afternoon
Rose arranging demonstration by international and local arrangers

Rose-themed concert arranged and conducted by Richard Cock

Lectures and garden visits
Rose related lectures in the morning including a short refreshment break, followed by garden visits in the afternoon with a picnic lunch on the bus
